My wife and I moved into a house on Valley Road, WGC in 2014 with grand plans of extending and renovating. Once in we realised we had no idea what we were doing and panic set in. We started looking for builders and fortunately our neighbour had a friend who had just used Cherished Buildings. We invited Ricky and Junior to quote (along with other builders) and based on the recommendation took the leap and went with them. Taking on a project like this is a little scary (especially on day 1 which kicks off with demolition). It didn’t take long for the transformation to begin and our 2 storey extension was complete (12 weeks). Unforeseen challenges always come up when building. The biggest complement I can give to Cherished is that they are solution focussed and calmly find a way to resolve with minimal fuss and without adding to the budget (what’s in the quote is what you pay) The thought of having strange builders in your home can be daunting and we stayed in the property during the work with our 2 year old daughter. The guys helped us create a temporary living space, and very importantly we felt safe and secure the whole time. It must have gone well as once we had created our amazing new home we sold up after a year and started again using Cherished. This time was a larger project with 2 storey rear extension, single storey side, garage conversion and full refurb. After both builds Cherished went on to do work for friends of ours based on our recommendation which says everything you need to know.

Ricky, Ben and their crew were with us almost every day for a year with a full modernisation of a 1920's large concrete home which included 2 small and 1 large extension. My wife and I found Ricky and Ben to be fair and honest and they were helpful thru the full project from helping with design ideas to dealing with the council and utility companies. We have completed three full house modernisations before so we know the costs and what to expect. Cherished Buildings were not the cheapest but reasonable. Our project took longer than planned because we had to increase the scope of the build from part to full modernisation. Cherished Building could of taken advantage of this but didn't and I am sure the extra charge was very close to cost and all without drama or fuss. We appointed Cherished Builders in July 2014 on the back of two (independent) excellent recommendations, to undertake our two storey back and single storey side extension. Ricky, Ben and the team delivered our 20 week project on time and on budget. Throughout the build I cannot fault the quality, work ethic, punctuality, tidiness and consideration to both us as a family and also our neighbours shown by everyone who worked onsite. All of the tradesmen were tightly supervised by Ricky and Ben, both of who were onsite and very much” hands on” at every stage of the build. We were kept fully informed of progress and costs and were involved in all key decisions as the build progressed. The team were more than happy to undertake our adjustments to the specification and the additional work that we requested. Ricky was also able to, at our request, support in the sourcing and budgeting of materials and became very much a "critical friend" whose opinion, knowledge and expertise we valued and welcomed and which were crucial to the overall success and finish of our build. We cannot fault Ricky, Ben and the team. They are genuine, honest and hardworking and deliver a high quality finished project on time and on budget - we unreservedly recommend them!

We've worked with Ricky and Junior/Cherished Buildings more than once and wouldn't hesitate to do so again. From the beginning to the end of the process it felt like they put us and our needs first: Talking us through the plan, consulting us on details, managing the building inspectors and minimising disruption to us and our neighbours. They keep things moving on so that every day we could see how much had been achieved and they met all the deadlines as promised. They thought creatively when unforeseen issues came up. They have very high standards of their own work and we were delighted with the quality and finish. They were helpful, friendly and good-humoured throughout and we really enjoyed having them around!

In 2011 we were looking for someone to build a kitchen extension for us; we met with a number of different building companies to discuss our plans but as soon as we met Ricky and Junior we knew we had found the company for us! We were on quite a strict timeline as we were expecting a baby and wanted all the work to be completed before the due date. It was and we were delighted with the outcome! From start to finish, working with Cherished Buildings was a pleasure; they are consummate professionals, able to advise, manage and problem solve with ease. The construction work was completed to a very high standard and disruption was kept to an absolute minimum throughout all stages of the build. Our faith in them was so complete we even went on holiday during the build! In fact, we cannot recommend them highly enough.

Ricky and Junior worked on our extension in 2017. It was the first time that we had any building work carried out so we were apprehensive but from the first time we met Ricky and Junior we were put at ease with their professionalism and work ethic. They have no problems in prospective clients Visiting old jobs and meeting the owners which is a sign of a good well run company. Our build work from start to finish was carried out in a professional manner. The living areas were left immaculately clean and tidy, the whole team were punctual and there wasn't a day when either Ricky or Junior were not there. The finish of the build was exemplary and you find yourself gauging your build against others in the area, as of yet, I am yet to find a build finish as good as Ricky and Junior's.In the near future we will be carrying out more building work and it will be Ricky and Junior we will be calling on.

In March 2018, Cherished Buildings built us an extension, 5m x 3m with a vaulted roof. We have nothing but good things to say about the team, who were professional, helpful and courteous at all times. They gave us invaluable advice from start to finish and I would highly recommend their services to anyone who is considering any building projects .
